Kicks Lab And ASICS Deliver The GEL-Lyte V “Kogane”

Kicks Lab And ASICS Deliver The GEL-Lyte V “Kogane”

Though losing Kiko Kostadinov in AW2020, ASICS’ repertoire of collaborators is still quite strong and growing stronger, tapping Japanese legends as well as high-end imprints in spades thanks to the momentum of their more recent set of releases. Among the most notable, overseas sneaker boutique Kicks Lab has been fostering this relationship for quite some time, dating back to 2015 with their “PHYS ED” themes. Their latest is more so of the same imagination as they take the GEL-Lyte V and give it a luxe makeover in interpretation of the term “Kogane,” which roughly translates to “gold.” This connection is most apparent along the Tiger Stripe modifications as well as the branded emblems at the heel: each, in contrast to the mostly neutral backdrop, bear a foil-like texture with the titular metal adorning it with a taste of the expensive. Mesh and suede materials contrast through a mostly dark visage, opting for black towards the forefoot and brown along the rear, an earth tone that sees to just part of the midsole, the entire sock liner, and much of the lace unit. Grab a detailed look at the collaborative pair right here and expect to see it exclusively at the retailer on November 9th.
