This Upcoming Nike Air Max 97 Is White Hot

If Nike’s recent ACG releases tell us anything it’s that the Swoosh is well aware that colder days are still ahead. And yet, the brand keeps flexing Spring-ready design after design perhaps to keep us optimistic as we brave the cold and to encourage us not to spend all of our money on the slew of “End of Season” sales spamming our emails. An upcoming Air Max 97 joins two tonal Vapormax Plus releases lined up in the coming weeks, but instead of opting for scarlet or citrus tones, the Japanese bullet train-inspired sneaker prefers tonal white uppers atop blue translucent outsoles. Toying with the idea of “hot ice,” Emoji-like flames replace Swooshes typically found on both lateral profiles and bottoms; Nike’s iconic logo is relocated to the mudguard and remains intact elsewhere on the shoe. Despite its icy color scheme, this pair of AM97s would fit perfectly in a wider “Summer Heat” pack and in any mid-year sneaker rotation.

Grab a closer look at this clean Air Max 97 below and anticipate a Nike.com release in the coming months for $170 USD.
