Fifteen Can’t Miss Sneaker News Headlines from January 18th to January 24th

Fifteen Can’t Miss Sneaker News Headlines from January 18th to January 24th

Ahead of Lunar New Year’s imminent start, Nike, Jordan Brand, and adidas have almost entirely switched their focus this week from the Year of the Rat onto other celebrations. Though CLOT revealed yet another silken collaboration with Beaverton – this time an Air Jordan 1 Mid – for the change of the zodiacal calendar, the pair was arguably overshadowed by the slew of releases confirmed and unveiled at the recent All-Star Weekend 2020 Preview. Among them, the Retro Hi ’85 gave participants a glimpse of the AJ1’s original construction while the Lyrical Lemonade x Aerospace 720 offered a look into the future. The LeBron 17 and Kyrie 6, among other performance basketball sneakers, joined the mix via compelling, story-driven colorways. Shifting gears from the Chicago-held event, the Swoosh imprint also found time to commemorate the upcoming Super Bowl LIV with two Air Barrage models – Mid and Low – outfitted in Miami-inspired greens and pinks. Over at The Three Stripes, a Mickey Mouse-stamped Ultra Boost 4.0 was revealed amongst all the first-looks we got of more muted options from adidas Yeezy. If you’ve grown tired of all the tonal 350 v2s, COMME des GARÇONS – via its SHIRT denomination – has teamed up with ASICS to animate the GEL-Lyte III with a statement-making pink, orange, blue, and green camo-print. For all that and much more, check out our top fifteen headlines from January 18th to January 24th here ahead.
