The anticipation continues to build as we encroach closer to the events of NBA All-Star weekend, especially for Nike’s sneaker lineup as they reveal more offerings related to the basketball festivities. A silhouette who has elected to participate in more ways than one is the Swoosh’s Air Flight ’89, whom after adopting traits of the Chicago flag, and translating basketball hoop colors, seeks to borrow the same palette from Jumpman’s Air Jordan 3 “Red Cement” for its next makeover. Translated in near identical fashion to the retro colorway, this latest act gets clothed in the same “University Red” hue to touch the majority of its leather constructions, and follows its cadence even further through sprinkled doses of grey and black to dye its Swoosh logo, laces, and throat. Basic black and white tones continue down into the midsoles, in addition to angelically stitched Nike Air branding on the heels to echo its Jordan Brand influence. For those looking to grab a pair, they are available now at the below retailers for $120 USD.
