Supreme Reveals An Overly Simple Nike Air Force 1 Low Collaboration

Leaking way back in early-mid January was a first look at Supreme’s upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low collaboration, and immediately the sneaker-crazed internet was split into the two opposing factions. On one side was a group of constituents who were enamored by the simplicity and cleanliness – a back-to-basics approach given the label’s more eccentric designs and silhouette selections in the recent past. On the other was an adversarial group that unabashedly derided the luxury streetwear label for its laziness. After all, all they did was slap a miniaturized box logo on the heel of the shoe, and with the white-on-white Air Force 1 already being the best-selling Nike shoe of 2019, this collaborative “effort” was more fan service than it was creativity. Despite the criticism, it has to be noted that Supreme, as a brand, started exactly that way – by simply adding their logos to simple and existing goods. Regardless, both the white and black pairs (the latter first being revealed today) will be highly sought after, and while Supreme does not disclose a release date, rumors of an April drop continue to persist. Stay tuned for an official word on the upcoming Supreme Air Force 1 release.
