Revealed in detail this past weekend, the Air Jordan 4 “Court Purple” continues the silhouette’s slow but eventful run of release, predating the heavily and aggressively awaited Virgil Abloh collaboration that walked the runway of his womenswear show. Hit with few accents, the forthcoming GR does little in the way of color, leveraging its titular shade in seldom — a detail that is done to great effect considering the public’s reception. Hard shell eye stay elements, the Jumpman insignia at both the tongue and heel, and the barely visible cotton liners on the inside are all given the purple dye, but elsewhere, everything is left primarily colorless. White fills the leathers that construct much of the entire paneling as well as the cages along the profile and vamp; this approach then bleeds unto the tooling, laces, and overlaid ornaments for cohesion. Grab an on-foot look at these right here and find them rumored to be hitting Nike.com and select shops on May 14th for a price of $190 USD.
In other news, check out the Air Jordan 4 Rasta.
