As the world awaits for its first low-top collaboration with sacai, the Nike Blazer has dressed up in dozens of impressive ensembles under both the Sportswear and SB categories. Its latest iteration – a Blazer Mid 77 – delves further into vintage inspiration with a colorway reminiscent of old-school hoop shoes.

Constructed with suede, leather, and canvas, uppers on the mid-height Blazer boast a “Grey Fog” arrangement complemented with “Light Photo Blue” accents. Overlays along the lateral forefoot, toe, and tongue indulge in a lighter shade of grey; laces follow suit. Branding on the tongue, which features a non-standard basketball graphic accompanied by “77” text, sports a stark blue contrasting hue, just as profile Swooshes and “NIKE” logos on the heel. Akin to a recent Air Flight 89 inspired by Harlem’s Rucker Park, this made-for-hoops silhouette dons basketball-shaped lace dubraes. Sock-liners include Coney Island’s bus route printed in “Light Photo Blue”. Underfoot, the Blazer Mid-variant forgoes its upper’s palette in favor of a plain, but timeless all-“White” finish.

Enjoy official images of this Blazer Mid ’77 ahead, as you wait for more details of an official Nike.com launch.

Elsewhere under The Swoosh umbrella, another look at the upcoming Michigan Dunk High has emerged.
