The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Demar DeRozan” Releases September 18th

The Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Demar DeRozan” Releases September 18th

Mamba Week, while eventful all in all, was only one small part in Nike’s plans to celebrate Kobe Bryant‘s life. The releases, which tapped into what-if scenarios and older fan favorites, helped spearhead the return of the late athlete’s signature shoes, and later this month, it looks like we’re soon to see even further mementos of his legacy by way of the ever-popular Kobe 5 Protro and its upcoming “Demar DeRozan” colorway.

According to retailers like Foot Locker, the offering is wasting no time in releasing as its currently slated to launch in about one week’s time. Its upper, whose finish has only recently been revealed in detail, bears a warped checkerboard, a subtle zebra print, and even further M.C. Escher level abstraction. These patterns are sprawled along different overlays, mid-panels, and the like, all colored with a monochromatic pairing of white and light grey. Soles and their treads dress to match as does the tongue and lace though each through slightly darker shade; elsewhere, the swooshes and the iconic Kobe insignia contrasts in black, matching that of the lining as well as the patent heel tab.

Grab a detailed look at these right here, as currently confirmed by retailers, expect a release to arrive September 18th.
