Jovani Hernandez Stateside, the ASICS GEL-Lyte III hasn’t garnered as much attention as other anniversary-celebrating silhouettes, but that hasn’t impeded the 30-year-old sneaker from dressing up in impressive ensembles. The latest arrives as a duo covered in either black or midnight navy denim.
Originally designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui as a performance-running model, the GEL™-cushioned pair has enjoyed new life in the lifestyle category. And while not a collaboration with Levi’s® or Japanese equivalent, the two recent pairs are sure to propel the GEL-Lyte III into the next three decades. Furthermore, leather overlays atop the denim base add a touch of quality that also translates onto the branded, ostensibly Vachetta leather panels throughout the upper. Sole units indulge in their pairs’ respective colors, but also feature off-white tread.
