New Balance Japan Celebrates Their Online Store’s 14th Anniversary With A Plaid-Covered 1300

To celebrate their online store’s 14th Anniversary, New Balance Japan has prepared a special campaign that spans the rest of the 2020 calendar year. And after its initial promotions and subsequent Hanzou U duo, “GREY PROUD” apparel collection, and utility-packed luggage items, the event will then culminate with the release of this limited, plaid-covered 1300.

A beloved favorite overseas, the silhouette is now opting for a look far distinct from the JP marked OGs that sold out near instantly upon revival. As its “Plaid Pack” namesake would imply, the upper is replete with various swatches, each distinct in their choice of palette and pattern. Tattersall variations apply earth tones across the entire toe box, wrapped with grey suedes over top, while a multicolor check and red-detailed tartan outfit adjacent along the tongue and collar, respectively. Elsewhere, dark grey mid-panels are embellished with thick white leather N logos, the heel tab is upgraded with a premium natural leather, and a bright red counter adds NB’s penchant for bold accents.

Grab a quick look at these here, and as they’re slated for the end of the year, we’ll likely see more imagery come their estimated December delivery date.

In unrelated news, another set of Needles Vans Slip-Ons are releasing this week.
