The First Ever BOOST Shoe, The adidas Energy Boost, Is Returning In New Neon Soles

Although most sneaker enthusiasts were introduced to BOOST cushioning via the adidas Ultra Boost in 2015, the bouncy proposition first appeared two years earlier on the performance-oriented Energy Boost.

For its next iteration, the function-first silhouette has made history for adidas yet again as it indulges in the first-ever neon-colored BOOST foam. While the view from underfoot reveals that the revolutionary cushioning has only been dyed at the sides, it suggests the Three Stripes is still committed to keeping the tooling fresh even after seven years on the market. The Techfit textile upper boasts a “Core Black” scheme slightly interrupted by shimmer profile 3-Stripes and accents. The heel structure and adiwear rubber outsole have been succeeded by the Ultra Boost‘s innovations, but they nod to an important moment in running footwear history. The Torsion system in the center of the tread offer a smooth ride for runners and lifestyle enthusiasts alike.

A stateside adidas.com release date is unknown, but this Energy Boost is now available at webstores overseas. In any case, enjoy official images of the pair here below.

For more from the Three Stripes, Pharrell’s “Triple Black” collection arrives on December 12th.

UPDATE (01/18/2021):
This adidas Energy BOOST is now available on the stateside adidas.com webstore.
