The Nike Air Tailwind ’79 Gets The Seasonal “Mystic Dates” Option

The Nike Air Tailwind ’79 Gets The Seasonal “Mystic Dates” Option

Throughout the year, Nike has been revving up their line of heritage-style runners by expanding its offerings of models such as the Daybreak and even the Challenger. Although it doesn’t garner much mention in the mainstream, the Nike Tailwind 79 is another ’70s racing silhouette that has received several new color options, including this burgundy-based “Mystic Options” treatment.

Staying true to its original materials, the plush nylon uppers indulge in a red “Mystic Dates” hue, which has dressed other Swoosh propositions this season, including the Blazer Mid. The suede overlays are in “Claystone Red,” which appears to be a few shades lighter than its aforementioned complement for a near-monochromatic color scheme. A rubber Waffle outsole completes the Tailwind to provide traction and durability while recreating the classic OG look and feel.

You can snag a pair at European sneaker sites such as Titolo, for approximately $120. A release at Nike.com should follow shortly.

In other Swoosh-related news, recycled materials are found on the new Nike Zoom Type.
