Michael Le It’s likely that this year will bring a close to sacai‘s Nike VaporWaffle. But before then, we’ll have both the upcoming “Sesame” and “Dark Iris” colorways to enjoy.
Two drastically different sides to the same coin, the duo deals out both ends of the tonal spectrum. The “Dark Iris” here is brooding, shaded with its titular purple all throughout — eye stays, tongues, and suede overlays included. Underneath, the mesh is accented with a dark navy near the lace unit, complementing the ribbon laces above and the extra printed Swoosh immediately below. Elsewhere, aside from the bits of white along the tooling and lining, the pair injects even more color with Campfire Orange heel tabs and checks.
