NikeCourt’s roster of athletes includes talent like Naomi Osaka and Rafael Nadal, who typically play in cutting-edge, Zoom Air-cushioned footwear. Nodding to its tennis legacy, however, the Swoosh’s subdivision continues to serve (pun intended) models rooted in heritage. Case in point?: The NikeCourt Legacy Mid.

Recently prepped in two women’s-exclusive styles, the mid-top silhouette leaves much to be desired with regards to modern-day technology. A simple foam and rubber combination make up the sole unit, resembling what’s found on the Nike Blazer Mid. Uppers are typically crafted with some variation of synthetic leather, suede or canvas, but their latest ensemble opts for a non-standard quilted nylon arrangement. Dipped in varying off-white, grey and blue gradients across both pairs, the top-half has been inspired by quilted jackets worn by athletes in the cold; the color palette borrows hues from the ice and snow these jackets battle. Lastly, each style features suede reinforcement along the base of the upper, as well as on the tongue label and spine, ensuring durability for on-and-off-court use.

Enjoy official images of the latest NikeCourt Legacy Mid pairs here below, and anticipate a stateside Nike.com launch as 2022 inches closer.
