The ASICS GT-2160’s design ethos resides within the early 2010s, but the Japan-based brand has found wide-ranging success by revisiting its archives amidst the “dad shoe” trend. From “Oyster Grey” to “Illusion Blue” the racing silhouette adheres to a mix of tones that ring true to its debut over a decade ago.
While tonal palettes have stricken the latter in full this summer season, the GT-2160 underscores its mesh base layer with a monochrome treatment, placing jet-black along the heel and white across the forefoot, tongue and inner lining. Silver metallic hues illuminate the profile branding while simultaneously accenting the tongue tab and heel counter.
