The Nike x OHSU Doernbecher collection is rapidly becoming clear, first announced in October and stepping forth once more as official images of each of its individual pieces surface. Though each of 2026’s have been well regarded in their own right, Oli Fason-Lancaster and the Nike Air Force 1 Doernbecher have emerged as particular standouts so far, now fully revealed through studio shots of his design.
Fason-Lancaster already made headlines when a Chipotle-assisted version of this shoe came to light, sadly only produced in a handful of pairs and each auction-exclusive. On this wide-release version, Oli’s love for food is still more than evident, most visible with literal spoons, forks, and spatulas nestled into the Swoosh. A full menu of vegetables then dots the midsole, reflecting his budding skills in the kitchen with all manner of ingredients and cuisines.
While the base of the shoe leans plain, trust that there’s no shortage of additional narrative notes as you work through the finer details. During Oli’s cancer treatment, he frequently painted rainbows as a symbol of hope for both him and his family, something that inspires the kaleidoscopic translucent tones in the outsole. Finally, Oli shifts the usual lace dubrae of the Air Force 1 onto the tongue, reading “572” in a nod to the same number of laps he completed during treatment (all completed wearing the Uptown).
