The Nike Air Max 95 didn’t rest on its laurels throughout its 25th anniversary (2020), but it didn’t proffer an arrangement with a reworked lacing system as it has on the latest women’s-exclusive.
Clad in a “Sail/Black/Chile Red/Coconut Milk” colorway and construction from canvas, leather and mesh, the upper on the newly-surfaced pair delivers a style with just enough flair. Yet, its gradient profile overlays and general build are overshadowed by the wide and robust, Nike ACG-reminiscent lacing system. Lace loops assume their standard placement on the Air Max model, but they’re accompanied by an ostensibly knit system found at the edge of the vamp’s mesh shroud, and almost extends to the tip of the toe. Underfoot, the sole unit maintains a predominantly off-white aesthetic, but detailing on the outsole boasts some “Chile Red” contrast.
An official Nike.com release date is unknown, but this women’s Air Max 95 is likely to quietly arrive before summer ends. In the meantime, enjoy images of the shoes ahead.
Updated April 29th, 2021: The Air Max 95 releases on May 1st in EU/UK.
