Nike Sportswear has been modernizing classics from before the 2000s for decades now. In addition to retroing classic performance-informed designs in as close-to-the-original form as possible, the subcategory also applies playful themes to them. Case in point: the Nike Blazer Low Platform to be included in the “Air Sprung” collection.
Set to launch aside an Air Force 1 and several Air Max silhouettes, the newly-surfaced pair predominantly indulges in a “colorless” tone across its tumbled leather and canvas upper. Hits of off-white land around the forefoot, at the tongue and Achilles’ heel area, sharing their yellowish tinge with the on-theme caterpillar and butterfly patches that accompany the “Boarder Blue” profile swooshes. Sock-liners also don “Air Sprung”-related graphics, while the platformed sole unit underfoot maintains a simple, but partly-recycled makeup.
An official Nike.com launch date hasn’t been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change in the first half of 2022. In the meantime, enjoy images of the women’s shoes here below.
