Throughout 2021, the Nike Air More Uptempo emerged in some of the most iconic colorways in its catalog in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Although the milestone occasion has come and gone, the 1996 Nike Basketball classic hasn’t fallen back to the archives, instead, emerging in playful styles like a newly-surfaced “Copy/Paste” one.
Expected to also include popular silhouettes from under the Nike Sportswear banner, the upcoming collection sees the Swoosh copy some of its most commonly-used graphics and paste them onto the Scottie Pippen-associated silhouette. The Air More Uptempo maintains all of its signature details – in particular the bulbous “AIR” text at the profiles – but it complements it with non-standard swoosh logos of varying size. Sock-liners also boast layered branding, with the “Copy/Paste” theme appearing much more prominently on the insole given the “glitched” application. The remainder of the shoe indulges in a traditional nubuck material, with most of the upper indulging in a clean “Iron Grey” tone; semi-translucent outsoles opt for a bluish “Anthracite” hue that adds yet another refreshing spin to the Air Max offspring.
No firm release date has been confirmed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as spring inches closer. While you wait for a Nike.com drop, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.
