The Nike Dunk High has undergone handfuls of “face lifts” since debuting in 1985. As it continues to dominate the sneaker market, the late Peter Moore’s iconic creation has looked to its debut year for inspiration, offering a true-to-the-original style for those with an affinity for the past.
After a collaboration with UNDERCOVER, the Dunk High ’85 is set to return in a women’s “Arctic Orange” makeup come September 27th. At quick glance, the silhouette doesn’t differ much from the design that’s received co-signs from Travis Scott and Off-White, but closer inspection reveals a taller, contoured collar and re-worked midsole. Canvas overlays around the toe, along the tongue and across the heel also deliver experimentation to the pair, introducing the titular “Arctic Orange” hue along the way. The remainder of the Nike Dunk‘s upper opts for a smooth “White” leather that allows for the slightest of contrast to revel in the spotlight, as has been the case on dozens of styles before it.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead (lead image by Sneaker Politics), and anticipate a Nike SNKRS and select retailer launch on Tuesday, September 27th, for $140 USD.
In related sneaker news, the LeBron 20 is set to debut on September 29th.
