Jun Takahashi has been delivering his perspective on “cool” since 1993 through his UNDERCOVER imprint. The last few decades have seen the Japanese designer bring his vision to the global stage with the help of Nike.
Unveiled as part of its mainline Fall/Winter collections of yesteryear, UNDERCOVER has several Moc Flow options on the way. The second style of the slip-on silhouette features a brown suede covered in pixelated patterns, perhaps a nod to cow hide. As has been the case with other projects from Takahashi’s label, “CHAOS” and “BALANCE” messaging appears on the collaboration, resorting to the heel for its placement. Stark red contrast animates the motif, but a cream-colored panel on the spine obscures part of the text. Elsewhere, speckled foam cushioning underfoot bring design touches from the past to the modern day. An unassuming, co-branded shoe box houses the latest collaboration from UNDERCOVER and the Swoosh.
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch soon.
