Fusing futuristic design takes with archival toolings, the New Balance 90/60 has asserted its popularity with a flurry a little over a year since its debut. Ahead of the warmer summer months, the exaggerated ensemble dressed in a tonal assemblage of cream-centric neutrals.
Clad from the hexagonal mesh of the underlays to the presiding stitched panels above, a consistent light cream consumes the near entirety of the 90/60s upper in tandem with its geometric ABZORB-cushioned sole unit underfoot. Accented by a seldom wave of grey outfitting the lugs of the midsole and semi-translucent heel clip, jet-black hues bring an immediate contrast to the mid-foot “N” logo and opposing ends of the silhouette before consuming the sock liner entirely. Lining the forefoot and heel in the latter tincture, the medial side’s embroidered branding comes color-matched to further imprint the monochrome aesthetic.
As we await further release details, in the meantime enjoy official images of the New Balance 90/60 “Cream/Black” below.
For more from underneath the Boston brand’s banner, the New Balance 991 recently prepared a duo of compositions in “Bruschetta” and “Ponderosa Pine”.
