Nike’s Vapormax 2023 Flyknit has been quietly delivering maximalist cushioning to the masses over the last year. With fall in motion, the silhouette has taken on a range of understated styles, which include a “Black/Iridescent” ensemble.
Flyknit construction makes up the pair’s top-half, opting for a pitch-dark arrangement. Profile swooshes favor a smokey finish that doesn’t detract much from their “Black” surroundings. Branding on the tongue and spine also deviate in shades of grey, interrupting the monochromatic outfit. Vapormax cushioning underfoot, however, ups the contrasting ante with its blue iridescent makeup.
While not new to the Nike Vapormax line, the “dark upper, bold bottom” combination harkens back to the 2010s, not only the technology’s debut era but also a period in which Nike Sportswear experimented with countless two-tone arrangements, perhaps most successfully with the Roshe Run. The women’s Vapormax 2023 Flyknit follows the arguably-dated, but compelling style, which is sure to find its footing amongst bolder consumers.
Enjoy official photos of the pair ahead, as you wait for a nike.com launch. The shoe is priced at $210 USD and offered in Women’s size 5.5 to 12.
