“Olive Leaf” Gently Adorns The New Balance 998 Made In USA

In its infancy, New Balance’s MADE in USA collection was made up of only a few different silhouettes. But today, the spotlight no longer shines exclusively on the 990 series, as models such as the 998 are now among the line-up’s permanent fixtures.

Similar to Season 3, Teddy Santis and New Balance’s Fall/Winter 2023 effort sees the same color palette applied across multiple offerings. “Olive Leaf,” for example, appears on not only the 990v4 but also the 998. Closely resembling its counterpart, the latter pair features the titular green across both its premium suedes as well as the adjacent mesh inserts. White and cream, then, highlight the neighboring details — “N” logo, midsole, laces, etc. — while a subtle touch of tan accents the heel as well as the forefoot.
