It’s hard to argue with the classics. Newer propositions may reach higher highs than staple shoes like the Air Max 1, but you can never extinguish its flame entirely. Nike is set to redouble their efforts with the Tinker Hatfield design for next season, as five new colorways of the Air Max 1 have just emerged.
Classic composition is seemingly the name of the game for Fall 2024, as all five of the previewed stylings rely on the two-tone configuration that make OG editions in “Sport Royal” and “Gym Red” so timeless. The bulk of the included styles iterate on greyscale tonality, two refracting slightly tinted versions of the same white, grey & black combination.
The two that diverge that formula do so in opposite ways, but to similarly striking results. “Phantom/Khaki” saturates the Air Max 1 with a sepia tint, pouring earthy hues over an aged off-white foundation. Conversely, the “University Gold” edition keeps the base intact while turning up the contrast, radiant accents bringing warm weather appeal to the table.
All five of the Air Max 1 colorways featured here are expected to drop in the coming weeks, all likely hovering around a $150 price tag. Scroll further for images of each.
