The latest entry to the Air Max family continues to roll out a heavy stream of new looks. While the sheer quantity of Air Max Dn colorways we’ve seen in the recent times can be overwhelming, each one serves as an additional piece of the puzzle, carving out new territory for the “Dynamic Air” silo to explore into the future. However, the “Bold Berry” pair in question arguably mints the first backwards-facing outfit yet, returning to an “All Day” / “All Night” aesthetic.
The comparison comes so easy due to those two debut looks relying so heavily on black & purple, the lone colors that grace the Dn in this application. A soft gradient takes the mesh upper from jet black at its edges to the titular regal tonality as you reach the laces, mirrored on the Air Max tongue tag and the resplendent Air chambers directly under the heel. Again, it feels like the Air Max Dn is flirting with peak saturation at this point, especially with the serious dose of colorways that have landed on the cusp of the Fall & Holiday quarters, but this colorway is certainly clean enough to evade blame.
The Nike Air Max Dn “Bold Berry” is already available via Nike Japan, with a wider global & stateside release expected for Holiday 2024. Retail pricing isn’t entirely confirmed, but be ready for a $170 sticker price.
