This year, SneakerNews was invited to participate in the FLuD Watches “Barksdale & Bell” fantasy basketball league, featuring a smorgasbord of different teams from all around the worlds of sports, entertainment and apparel. There’s no way we were turning down that invitation, so as a result, you’ll be able to follow along with us over the course of the season, as SneakerNews makes a run at taking over the league like the Marlo Stanfield crew took over B&B corners. The first week of the NBA/fantasy hoops season is now officially in the books, and overall, Team SN is off to a solid start thanks to a 5-3 Week 1 win over Antenna Magazine. There’s obviously a long season ahead, so we won’t pat ourselves on the backs too much yet, but we’re excited to show and prove once again as we take on the Rocksmith Ninjas in our Week 2 matchup. Monta Ellis – Week 1 team MVP honors go to Monta Ellis, who opened the season against Houston by dropping 46 points, and then went on to get us 3 much-needed steals on Sunday to help tie the category for the week.
