It was quite a momentous week in the world of sneakers. Ray Allen, one of the longest-tenured Jordan Brand athletes, became the all-time 3-pt leader while wearing a great Air Jordan XIII PE during the record-breaking game. Leading up to the night, Sneaker News gave you a look at Ray’s Air Jordan history from his entire career. Other Jordan-sightings on-court included Gilbert Arenas and Snakeskin XI Low and Marcus Jordan’s Air Jordan V Premio In other basketball sneaker news, this week brought the release of both the 3-D and Orange County Kobe VI colorways, which sold out quite fast, and a detailed look at two new LeBron 8 P.S. colorways. Sneaker News also gave you a look at the upcoming East and West All-Star colorways of the Air Max 360 BB Low as well as the Nike Hyperdunk 2010 Low.
The Nike Dunk made some great headlines with some interesting features, as it was focus of a ?uestlove collaboration as well as an SB Dunk High. On Superbowl Sunday, Nike released the Nike Alpha Pack – a duo of the Zoom Huarache TR Mid and Alpha Talon Cleat – which was limited to just 25 units. Other Superbowl news came from the Halftime Show, when legendary guitarist Slash wore a special colorway of the Supra Skytop. Converse and UNDFTD revealed the next colorway of the Poorman Weapon collaboration, and a sneaker customizer created a hand-made replica of the Nike Mag from the Back to the Future movie franchise. Finally, after a voluminous three-part feature of the Air Jordan XI, Sneaker News unveiled the next chapter of Michael Jordan Through The Years, focusing on the Air Jordan XII.
