The future of Air Max is almost here, as the Nike Air Max 2016 will release on November 19th. It took almost three decades to get here, as Tinker Hatfield’s iconic Air Max 1 creation hit retail shelves in 1987 and put in motion the creatively head-turning design of visible air. The overhauled design showcases Nike’s affection for pushing forward as the 360 degree air bubble has been a lasting feature for the past couple of flagship models. Engineered mesh and Flywire support return this year too in a slight redesign from last year’s model, while the Swoosh placement switches from a reverse aesthetic on the heel to the forefoot. 3 colorways will debut on the 19th, ranging from a simple black to Bright Crimson and Blue Lagoon.
