COMME des Garçons and Nike have grown closer than ever the past few months. There’s rumors of a CDG x Nike Air Max 180 coming in 2018, the brand helped Supreme transform the Air Force 1, and their Nike VaporMax collaboration remains to be one of the most sought after colorways of the must-have model. Now it looks like COMME des Garçons could be bringing back one of its oldest Nike collaborations with the return of the CDG x Nike Waffle Racer from 2002. The pair first released back at the height of Junya Watanabe’s experimentation with the brand as he released an all-white colorway with a matching crewneck and box. Now over 15 years later, a black pair could be on the way featuring classic nylon and suede with white CDG branding on the heel. This pair was spotted on display at the store, so fingers crossed that we get a release in the near future. Stay tuned.
