No brand has deeper roots in the game of soccer — or football, if you’d prefer — than adidas. Ever since Adi Dassler created the first-ever soccer shoe with molded rubber “cleats” in the ’50s, the Three Stripes has boasted close ties with both the game’s roots and some of its most iconic players, from Beckham to Messi and more. Soccer style extends off the pitch as well though, and adidas has plenty to offer for the soccer-loving streets as well — their latest soccer/casual shoe is the Copa 70Y TR, and it’s arrived in two classic colors: white/black/gum and black/white/gum. Although the style is timeless, the materials are all new, as the upper’s standard leather is replaced entirely by an engineered knit material that provides lightweight flexibility, support, and style. Special branded swatches arrive on the tongue, lateral midfoot, and heel, and each shoe is then completed by a classic non-marking gum outsole. Want to add some soccer style to your sneaker rotation? Both pairs are drop January 11th at the retailers listed below for $150 USD.
