As has become customary over the last half-decade, Nike has begun revealing some of its winter-ready footwear proposals before they’re generally needed. The latest arrives in the form of an Air Force 1 High boot.
While free of any GORE-TEX branding, the forthcoming pair is identical to a new style ushered in alongside the waterproof-specialists. Predominantly clad in “Black,” the high-top Air Force 1 features double-layered profile swooshes, which don stark scarlet contrast. Elsewhere, a re-worked strap across the ankle also indulges in the “Red” hue, partially resembling a Prada Linea Rossa aesthetic. Spines have also been modified on this update to Bruce Kilgore’s 1982 design: two-tone pull tabs sit underneath a curved overlay that only features swoosh branding and not standard “NIKE” text. Underfoot, sole units boast the most notable tweaks as midsoles are stacked and tread has been serrated for enhanced traction under tough conditions.
Enjoy official images of this winterized Air Force 1 High here below, and expect pairs to hit Nike.com in the coming months.
For more from the Swoosh, the “Black/Volt” Total Max Uptempo is rumored to return before 2020 ends.
