A Bathing Ape founder Nigo has an eye for all things classic American when it comes to sneaker designs, so it’s no surprise to see a BAPE take on the immortal Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. The BAPE Apesta Check might remind you of some of the recent Woolrich x Converse collaborations, but instead of the buffalo checks that were so common in 2008 & ’09, these go with a subtler plaid pattern that you’ll see on any number of ‘western’ shirts. Oh snap word **-Apesta-** in Spanish does mean something stink or it stinks lol good point I would’ve Neva looked at The name it that way.
