When the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Workboot’ dropped in late 2009, the world took notice. Not only did the Red Wing-inspired look show up on everything from the Air Royal to the Air Flytop from Nike, but Reebok got on board, as did A Bathing Ape. The key distinguishing feature of these is the premium leather upper paired with metal eyelets and corded laces, which you’re also likely to find on a good hiking boot. Maybe that’s why the latest releases in a similar motif are dubbed the Air Force 1 Low ‘Hiking Pack’, but either way, they’re as rugged as beautiful gets. Two super-clean colorways are on tap for an October release, with a black pair adding white contrast stitching and a grey pair going the monochromatic route. Check out shots of both after the jump and you can pre-order yours now from CrookedTongues. via HS
