The latest effort emanating from the planet of the apes is a study in contrast. A Bathing Ape’s Manhunt chukka is their take on the classic Wallabee design, but instead of the traditional crepe sole, these joints go for a more rugged ridged bottom. But we’re familiar with this Bape design by now, so the thing that draws our attention to this pair is its Village Camo upper. On one hand, you’ve got the photorealistic camouflage print that should blend into any deciduous forest, but on the other, you’ve got a plain-as-day sans serif font displaying ‘manhunt’ in huge letters across the toe and lower tongue. An interesting statement on how camo is used in streetwear today, you’ll find these at select A Bathing Ape retailers like Bape Land.
