LeBron James has been nursing a sore ankle he suffered in the Miami Heat’s streak-ending loss to the suddenly captivating Los Angeles Clippers. That result was lose-lose but let’s hope LeBron gets healthy quickly so he can offer another stellar performance like the previous stop on the Heat’s west coast road trip. It was just a few nights before the LAC loss that Miami got the best of the Portland Trailblazers in their Rose Garden, thanks in large part to King James’ 44-13-6, a feat he managed while his feet were in this special Nike LeBron 8 V/2 colorway. Simply dubbed the LeBron 8 V/2 ‘Portland Game’, these black, red and white joints would have matched either team’s uniforms but apparently nobody will get a pair as they’re not set for a retail release. Could these have been a homecoming gift from Beaverton-based Nike Basketball? The iridescent mudguard looks sick no matter the occasion and you can see more after the jump. via Mayor
