When historians discuss Gourmet footwear’s early years, they’ll likely discuss the brand in terms of distinct phases concerning its design leanings and naming conventions. Not for nothing, this brand got started by jacking Air Jordan silhouettes and lifestyling them, but these early Italian-numbered joints were just a precursor to their identity as masters of hybridization. Recent drops come with number-names that are a bit easier for US sneakerheads to identify with and in the new Gourmet 32, we get more than a few familiar design elements. These joints mix the chukka style that’s become so popular in recent years with an Air Max-style cushion and their premium leather construction means you can slip by bouncers undetected.
