Over the weekend we gave you an up close look at the brand new Jordan Trunner LX 11, and we’re back again with a more colorful edition of this Jordan Brand trainer. While we’re used to Varsity Red from the Air Jordan line, this time we are treated to Varsity Royal, a sharp blue that wraps the upper on the woven overlay and the thick mesh. The blue treatment also shows up in the Air Max unit on the heel, which is one of several new features that the Jordan Trunner LX 11 received since being revamped from the original design. Hit the jump for a full photo set of these, which are available now at Finishline.

When people say someone ‘made a mint’, they’re talking about coming up on a sizeable fortune, which is exactly what Ronnie Fieg deserves for consistently producing among the best collaborations Asics has ever offered. Fieg’s latest has been teased as possibly his last, and if so, the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Mint Leaf’ is quite the sendoff. These babies follow the impeccable tonal suede and mesh pattern that has led to first day sellouts for each pair he’s crafted so far. They look even more impressive atop a breathtaking cliff in the Dominican Republic where Ronnie’s currently working on an upcoming release with Sebago. Click through for more and stick with Sneaker News for the ‘Mint Leaf’ Gel Lyte III release date.

On its surface, the Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse is the epitome of a simple yet satisfying combination: the melding of a well-seasoned running icon with a cutting edge fabrication technique resulting in a shoe that’s stronger AND lighter with better ventilation. But if you’ve been following the Nike Sportswear Hyperfuse hybrid collection on Sneaker News, you know that we’ve seen at least three other different takes on this black and Blue Glow colorway. The one pictured above is the final version NSW settled on amongst the ‘samples’, the design with the least grey out of the group whose blue mudguard matches its Swooshes. Click through for a closer look at the first Air Max 1 Fuse and grab a pair of these from select NSW accounts including End or get your pair now on eBay.

The New Balance 574 is definitely one of the staple sneakers from the storied running brand, a go to style that has always remained relevant. We’ve got a sneak peek at the future of the New Balance 574, with a look at some of the releases for Spring/Summer 2012. Notables include the three part Primary Colors pack, an RGB flavored set, and a group of 574′s done up in denim, one of which looks eerily similar to the recently released Denim Air Force 1. Hit the jump for a better look at the Spring/Summer 2012 releases for the New Balance 574 and let us know which ones you’re looking forward to the most. via: HS

Most of the sport-turned-something models we’ve seen in recent years have applied a casual touch to some of our favorite classic releases, but this one is a pure bred performance-oriented shift. The Jordan Alpha 3 Percent picks up where 1999′s 3% trainer left off, adding a Max Air cushion to the heel along with a revamped texture on the midsole tooling, this white, grey and gold colorway sufficiently neutral to match pretty much anything you could combine. Click through to see some more angles and look for these at JB retailers like FinishLine.

Sneakerheads have a big weekend ahead of them. Amidst the usual 4th of July festivities you are going to need to find time to get your hands on all the heat dropping in the next couple days, the Nike Air Foamposite ‘Retro’, the Nike Lunar Flow, and of course the Air Jordan V ‘Quai 54′. This limited colorway of the Air Jordan V releasing in conjunction with the Quai 54 International Streetball Tournament isn’t going to be an easy one though, with pairs being released exclusively at House of Hoops locations worldwide on July 2nd. We have some more images after the jump of this eye-catching new Air Jordan V, as if you needed any more convincing. Fortunately, there are a gang of pairs available for re-sale already, so if you wanna pull the trigger early, check out the auctions like this one from dylmatic on eBay.

Ever caught (or bought) a baseball at a game and tried to get your favorite superstar to sign it, only to find that it’s far easier to get access to the guys who aren’t actually playing? That’s kinda like what happened here, so fitting that the shoe in question was one of Michael Jordan’s signatures: the Air Jordan II in a Gerald Wallace player exclusive colorway. These were crafted for GW3 before he was shipped out of Charlotte, and apparently he left them behind to former teammate Eduardo Najera. Now here’s where it gets goofy: Najera signed the game-worn PE, his own number Sharpied right alongside the ‘#3′ PE markings, and sold them for, get this, a mere $25 bucks during an event this past summer. Seems like a steal, even if it is a shoe signed by a guy who never wore them; would you have laid out the cash to grab them? via Complex

Quick, name your top 5 classic Nike runners. Done? We won’t blame you if the Nike Air Flow wasn’t on your list, as this futuristic silhouette that was once at the forefront of breathable sneaker technology hasn’t seen the light of day since it’s original release back in the 80′s. However, they are hitting the streets again this summer courtesy of Nike Sportswear, so after that it’s no excuses. This shoe was truly ahead of its time, setting the precedent for many lightweight shoes for years to come, a trend that we’ve seen mostly recently in Nike’s Hyperfuse efforts. These two OG colorways of the Nike Air Flow will be available at Tier Zero retailer West NYC this weekend on Saturday, July 2nd. Hit the jump for a full photo set as this is one retro you don’t want to miss, and if there’s no Tier Zero retailers near you, get a pair now on eBay.
