Wait a second! Wasn’t the big Air Jordan XI Retro release for 2011 supposed to be the OG ‘Concord’ colorway from 1995?! For those of you who have your heart set on the original Elevens, this news has no bearing on what should figure to be Holiday 11′s single biggest release, though it is directly connected to the shoe that took that title two years ago. The Air Jordan XI ‘Space Jam’ was such a massive hit that they beat out Kanye West’s first Air Yeezys to top our Sneaker News Top 30 of 2009 and now they’re in even rarefied-er air now, thanks to a series of deadstock pairs soon to arrive at Asian retailer RMKstore. It’s pretty uncommon to see such a treasure trove available from a retailer so long after the original (instant sell-out) release, and although their site has no indication of price or quantities yet, you can inquire with them here regarding info and placing a reservation. If you’re still looking for a pair and dont want to go the overseas route, you can check to see what the market says they’re worth and grab a pair on eBay.

Few sounds can make an adult instantly snap back into a playfully childish state of mind like the jingling and jangling of an ice cream truck during the dog days of summer. New Yorkers are particularly lucky in this regard, with a variety of trucks roaming the Big Apple’s bustling avenues, and one in particular that’ll have sneakerheads sprinting down the street. Nike Sportswear’s ‘Always On’ Ice Cream Truck is set to serve up the goods including a Hyperstrike-sized 24 pair release on the Nike Air Force 1 High Hyperfuse in Volt, with the Blue Glow edition to follow soon after. They’ll also have a bunch of new Uptowns, the Pine Green Air Foamposite Pro and a variety of attire, so click through to see a preview and follow NSW on Twitter and Facebook for updates on the truck’s whereabouts. via GameSeven
UPDATE:
The Nike Sportswear truck will be at Dyckman Court in NYC today at 4pm. Follow the NSW Twitter for more updates.

Supra has seized the day with a number of timely releases of late, namely their Flag Day, Puerto Rican Day and Independence Day releases adding red, white and blue flare to the Crown brand’s distinct skate style. They also issued a ‘Black and Yellow’ pack in honor of the Boston Bruins bringing down the city of Vancouver Canucks, but that’s about as close as this latest trio gets to a true theme. The Supra Black and Green Pack brings Tom Penny’s Bandit and adds Antwuan Dixon’s signature model back along with Erik Ellington’s Avenger in a trio of black canvas/teal cupsole releases you can currently find at select Supra stockists worldwide.

A number of Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Lows have hit Nike Basketball retailers, this latest model perhaps the most ostentatious so far. These new Hyperfuse 2011 Lows take the neon accents from their place on the Photo Blue joints we showed you last week and makes the entire upper out of Volt, along with black insets. This high contrast look is as refreshing as a cool glass of lemonade on a hot summer afternoon, and you can quench your thirst for unbeatable basketball performance this summer when you grab a pair from FinishLine.

We’ve compared Paul Rodriguez Jr. to fellow LA sports star Kobe Bryant and even loosely to His Airness, Michael Jordan, but would you believe he might be even more similar to the Mozilla Firefox web browser? Both saw their early work take flight in the ’00s, this decade bringing faster development cycles and a fifth edition sure to warrant a huge number of upgrades this summer. But instead of spinning while you wait for that eBay auction you’ve been watching to refresh, the Nike SB P-Rod V is made with LunarLon soles to provide one of the lightest and most comfortable rides in the history of skateboarding sneakers. Click through to see more of this chocolate brown suede P-Rod 5 and stick with Sneaker News for more previews and release dates.

The Nike Blazer Mid AB is a remixed version of a beloved retro model; Nike Sportswear taking some liberties with minimal updates to give the Blazer a bit more contemporary style. The first thing you notice is the absence of a swoosh, which makes sense as the Blazer silhouette can stand on its own at this point. Beyond that is the revamped toe, which features the rubber cap of the Nike All Court, another blast from the past model that has been getting some retro love as of late. And of course, the most striking of the changes, the added zipper as an alternate way to suit up in these. We’ve got some new photos of the Nike Blazer Mid AB VNTG after the jump, so let us know if you approve and head to Crooked Tongues to grab a pair now or get yours on eBay.

We’re back again with new a set of images on the upcoming Converse Startech LE, an old school basketball shoe that is being revived this summer courtesy of Converse. This up close look reveals a varied material selection and somewhat updated innards for this long lost basketball shoe. The upper is a nylon construction sitting on top of a clean white vulcanized sole. The unique split tongue at the top gives way to a super soft cotton lining, increasing the hieghtened level of comfort already provided by the EVA cupsole, a new feature for the Startech LE. Hit the jump to get a full look at these, which are impacting now at select Converse retailers. via HS

They’ve already made it into a workboot, so Nike Sportswear pushing the Air Royal silhouette toward a desert boot-like result seems quite natural. The Nike Air Royal Mid SO is the latest NSW standby model to release with a spongy silicon crepe sole, these three new suede getups evoking images of the Clarks Originals design that established that brand some fifty years ago. Three pairs each feature a single colored suede upper with contrasting sole, the black/blue and grey/green editions offering a considerably higher contrast than the wheat/brown version. Click through to see all three and look for these Tier Zero releases at select NSW retailers around the world. via HB

Though it is LeBron James who remains the butt of (by this point quite trite) jokes about his disappearing act in the NBA Finals, Nike Basketball’s other main pillar also suffered a disappointing postseason. So perhaps they’re working out a Bill Simmons-style reverse jinx here with the Nike Zoom Kobe VI returning to NIKEiD with camouflage uppers (there’s even a Celtics colorway in this preview!). Regular Sneaker News readers will recall these popping up in mid-April with a scant 240 pairs selling out as quickly as they came, so this return should give those who missed their chance another shot. Will you go for something ‘sneaky’, a team-oriented getup or perhaps something tonal like many of this year’s best designs? Click through for a preview of what’s possible and head over to NIKEiD to make yours today.
