As we saw just last week with the shocking left-field announcement of the Nike Mag 2011, the Swoosh certainly has a few tricks up its sleeves when it comes to unveiling new product, but that exceptional case notwithstanding, the above pictured model has been running a strange course relative to the norm. The Nike LunarGlide+ 3 popped up over a month ago in the Berlin-inspired edition of a ‘City Series’ from which we’ve yet to hear another peep, despite the fact they’ve shown up in two other collections since then. Perhaps the LunarGlide 3 City Series is starting to take shape, though, as along with a Nike Womens Marathon edition, Tokyo’s Nike Harajuku has just started to stock the New York City LunarGlide+ 3s, a design by artist Mike Perry inspired by the world’s largest 26.2. Check out the NYC LunarGlide 3 in new images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release date for these and the rest of the City Series.
