There are two black, white and grey Nike Zoom Kobe VIIs on the way — which one will you choose? Will it be the Supreme edition with its Del Sol yellow accents and ‘Play Strong’ removable bootie, or will you go with the more affordable and likely easier to obtain ‘Play Fast’-equipped pair pictured above? This ZKVII differs from the Supreme edition by its use of a black bootie instead of yellow, one that’s not fastened around the ankle and heel and should feel a bit lighter. It really is a tough decision for Black Mamba fans, many of whom will simply purchase all of the colorways released, but you can see some new images after the jump to aid in your decision and be sure to check back with Sneaker News for updates on these and all the Zoom Kobe 7 release dates. via RMK

Oh so plain and ugly. Hall of Fame player, Wall of Shame sneakers. Every single Kobe has been ugly, imo.

the black mamba strikes again.

Maybe some new colorways could help this out like the Chaos, 3D, All-Star, etc.

This is an ugly ass shoe
November 6th, 2011 at 8:48 pm
i seriously want those insoles as slippers.
November 6th, 2011 at 8:58 pm
Interested to see if Nike plans to play around with other textures or designs on the upper. Do agree that it's plain, but it's not ugly.

Good thing that's just your opinion…ur probably a retro sneaker hypebeast
November 6th, 2011 at 9:27 pm
That's your opinion on how you think all Kobe's are ugly. But for sure they are not, 98% can agree. I think Kobe just needs a new designer for his signature sneaker for Nike..We just keep seeing the same thing with a few tweaks..
November 6th, 2011 at 9:44 pm
Need to see these in person first before I judge em
November 6th, 2011 at 10:03 pm
and this is why lebron sneakers always outsells kobe's.. even in adidas kobe sneaks were ugly.. remember the one that looked like a clothes iron LOL
November 6th, 2011 at 10:40 pm
the outriggers destroyed the shoe for me, It made the shoe look so heavy and so bulky… its like a stone in that shoe
November 6th, 2011 at 11:20 pm
to me it looks good, but it's obviously a basketball sneakers if it performs great, then it's fulfilled it's purpose

@Matic, you probably shouldn't assume because I happen to like most non-retro shoes. I'm only 17, how could I be a retro hypebeast? Sure, I like retros, most people do? I love Lebron's. I'm just not a fan of Kobe's. @AdiWord, yeah I do think they all are, and how do you know 98% of the people that can agree? But after that, I agree with you. Plus I'm not a hypebeast at all, that term is a cliche now. There's really no such thing.

November 7th, 2011 at 1:47 am

i believe these are the "walking cane" colorway of the kobe 7s. it'll surely be hit among senior citizens.
November 7th, 2011 at 6:05 am
looks like he took the concept from the aj2011 witht eh two different insoles, i have a feeling these will have another insole and got up 30-50 in value
November 7th, 2011 at 7:42 am
Nah SN, not coppin em all this year!
November 7th, 2011 at 9:33 am
i was thinking the same. the forefoot of the shoe is simple stripes. i really hope they plan to do something different on other styles. I love all the Chaos actually. so these may pop more with those colorways.
November 7th, 2011 at 11:23 am
seriously kobe needs a new designer!kobe 4-6 are right but this one is unacceptable….pls.. nike…
November 7th, 2011 at 11:56 am
People hated on the DB IV's then the net crashed..700 outside of mercer and nike nyc lined up-haters on the kobes will see them in person then cop as usual.
November 7th, 2011 at 2:09 pm
i hope we se something like the orange county 6's, loved that cw
November 7th, 2011 at 3:30 pm
Personally I like the Kobe 7 (without the sleeve, of course). People are complaining that they are too plain, but if the shoe actually had more progress in the design, then the very same people would be bitchin about that. I usually dig the understated shoe designs, although it might not be as interesting as the flashier, out-of-the-box designs. Call me old school, but the simplistic look with only a touch of flavor is my style, and for me, this shoe fits that description.
November 7th, 2011 at 8:49 pm
and it fails
November 7th, 2011 at 8:50 pm
Nope. No way I'm paying $180 for this garbage.
November 8th, 2011 at 4:35 pm
Those Kobes are hot but $180? Nah
November 10th, 2011 at 4:20 am
I agree with some of the comments here. I wore Kobe 4-6, and it really served their purpose in the court.. I have always been a low to mid cut shoe type of player.. i really dont like the hi cut type like the hyperdunk, i guess i just prefer mid.. but this new kobe 7? not really sure if ill buy one coz i really dont like the way it looks.. maybe ill stick with my ZK6..
November 12th, 2011 at 10:09 am
the kobe shoes are badass! kobe haters get outta here and get some lebabybron shoes, the reason you guys wouldnt pay for these shoes are cuz you know you cant handle it, it'll prob break your ankles LMAO! thats why they have lebabybron shoes with ankle supports, well you guys can always buy ankle inusrance from kobe before you try his shoes lol.
