We’ve seen sneakers become a default footwear choice thanks to comfort and street appeal as well as a microcosm of this movement as basketball sneakers were adopted as one of the cornerstones of skate shoe design, so what does a brand that’s rooted in skate and lifestyle looks do to expand their reach? In the case of the Crown brand, they got back to most fundamental reason people wear casually wear sneakers instead of traditional dress shoes: comfort. The Supra Owen offers a lightweight, well-cushioned ride that seems to nod toward several classic designs while ending up in a corner of the market all its own.
