July 23rd, 2012 by Brendan Dunne | 18 comments

Can it still be considered an All-Star Game sneaker if it releases so long after the fact? Sure there may be no real All-Star connection here, but what sneakerhead at this point doesn’t associate the galactic look with that event thanks to this year’s epic pack? We’ll let the community decide on that once the Nike Zoom Rookie ‘Galaxy’ does indeed arrive, something that should happen as soon as September according to Nike Sportswear heavyweight Gentry Humphrey. Stay with Sneaker News for an exact release date as we get closer to this Nike Zoom Rookie’s expected September 2012 arrival.

Joints are tough. I'll try to get em.
hope these arent as limited as the foams
i am NOT missing out on these like the foams... will put in MAJOR work.
f*ck the wholesalers, resellers & retailers overpricing the shoe....
It's sad that these came out as customs before the actual shoe released lol f*** this ugly shoe and f*** all the reselling haters cuz im buying them ALL!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA (evil laugh) #cantknockmyhustle
...nice but these have to be rocked with shorts. Pants will conceal too much of the shoe...summer kicks.
@umdaman
def wit shorts... no pants
i really like these but im afraid i wont be able to due to all the hypebeasts......unless i pay reseller prices.....
@TimothySou
i feel ur pain
why are the pods black in one picture and glow in the other
@GeorgeOguapo
The pic with pants came out months ago. Prob a sample... Which means hopefully the ones with the shorts are production??? Let's hope!!!!
@beedub77 @GeorgeOguapo The black pods were made exclusively just for Penny Hardaway. The glow pods were for Gentry Humphrey. The "galaxy" print is even different on both shoes. We have yet to see wich is to be the general release version
*which
Uh Oh.
shit is wak!!! period. nice shoe though
my heart just stopped. i guess they can't keep anything unreleased anymore -__-
Nice shoe...and I hope its a GR. But I doubt it. It'll be the same story as always...a few pairs per store and HoH employees selling a few pairs and keeping the rest for resell. This story is getting old, Nike.
My jaw dropped (pause) when I seen the headline.
