Nike Air Revolution – 2013 Retro
As promised by a group of catalog shots at the top of the year, the Nike Air Revolution is indeed coming back. Those 2D renderings are finally joined by a set of photos on the finished product, a slightly underrated sneaker that comes with the same tooling on the bottom as the Air Jordan III. This first Nike Air Revolution colorway dresses up in a combination of game royal, white, black, and cool grey-keeping things in line with the one-pop color style of its day. RADIO RAHEEM! So stoked on this drop. A friend of mine has a pair of the 2003 retro's that puts a mile wide jealousy streak through me every time he wears them. Also, one of those shoes that looks just as good (maybe better) a little beat as it does crisp IMO.
My dreams have finally come true I remember these retro'd back in 2003 when I was in 8th grade in this colorway & the OG Black/White colorway. I had those, one of the best shoes I've ever balled in. Listen up Hypebeasts, IF IT WASN'T FOR THIS SHOE THE AIR JORDAN 3 WOULD NOT EXIST.
@bfresh89 The B&Ws came out in like 08 I think too. I cant believe I slept on that pair.
@bfresh89 you're wrong
@iamiguel @bfresh89 Not. After the Air Jordan 2 was released MJ was thinking about leaving Nike for another company bc he wasn't really involved in the design process of the 1st 2 shoes. Tinker Hatfield had already designed the Revolutions & Nike was thinking instead of continuing the Signature line they'd have MJ be the head endorser of the Air Revolution but that didn't happen, They brought Tinker as the new head designer of Jordan's shoes & MJ liked the ideas that Tinker had. So he stayed with Nike. By the beginning of the 87-88 season players in the Nba already had the Air Revolutions. Being that the Air Jordan 3 which was not created yet MJ wore the Alpha Forces in the 1987 Pre-season & when the Regular Season started he was wearing the Air Jordan 2 Lows until February of 1988 when the 3's released.
