Reebok Answer DMX “All-Star” Pack – Release Reminder
Reebok’s DMX retro category will see a couple more pairs slide into its midst tomorrow upon the release of this, the “All-Star” pack. Keep in mind that the duo isn’t a historically accurate one, but rather the Vector Brand’s way of imagining what an AI wear at the All-Star game in these sneakers would have looked like. The two shoes will be up for grabs at a pretty wide range of retailers-Finish Line, Foot Locker, Footaction, Champs, Eastbay, Jimmy Jazz, and Reebok will all have their hands on them. See the pack again just after the jump and then tell us whether or not this is an appreciate re-issue of the Reebok Answer 1.
This is an absolute RAPE job of these. I keep hearing about the, "if Iverson was on the All-Star team THIS is what they might have looked like!" angle. Well the truth is they freaking made an AMAZING red shoe for the game. It just never released in the USA and people have wanted it forever. On top of that they retro the navy pair and rape it as well. The soles is the wrong, color blocking is all messed up and the entire look/colorway/leather is ruined. They literally just dropped a perfectly OG pair of the black/gold ones and had everyone excited for the next 3 OG pairs (the REAL red and navy patent ones and then the white/red pair) and they come with this weak pair. What's the point in changing up an all-time classic like this? Jordan does it and keeps the years separate from all their retros but Reebok isn't at that level and people are going to want the real deal, not this. It makes zero sense at all. You were doing so well (minus the extremely way too limited Shaq Attaq release) Reebok. Get your head back in the game.
