J.R. Smith is in trouble for some innovative defense he’s been playing as of late. The Knicks player was today hit with a $50,000 fine for his two separate incidences of untying an opponent’s shoe lace-one of them performed on Dallas Mavericks forward Shawn Marion and the other on Greg Monroe of the Detroit Pistons. For the record Marion had on the Nike Hyperfuse 2013 while Monroe was wearing the Nike Hyperdunk 2013-no word yet on Smith’s plans should he run into an opponent with a zip up sneaker like the Air Jordan 28. That is awesome. If you can't tell someone is untying your shoe, that's on you.

Wait, he attempted it a 2nd time?! That's it, this dude is a legit coke head

The shoelace bandit! The money that's fined should go to charity. Maybe I need to research that, but I think it does.
