Nike Air 1/2 Cent – Varsity Royal x Green Spark – Swapped Sole Customs by Jason Negron

Back in September, we brought you a look at a very interesting new approach to sneaker customization. Rather than using paint or different additional materials to alter his kicks, customizer, Jason Negron, came up with a way to switch up the outsoles to give his creations a fresh new look. You’ve already seen what he did with the Air Foamposites, and now, we get a look at his latest sole-swap subject. Staying within the Penny/Posite family, this time around, Jason has applied his magic to the Nike Air 1/2 Cent, taking two different colorways and cris-crossing the soles to create a new visual identity for each pair.

The clear sole from the Varsity Royal edition of the 1/2 Cent was fused onto the Green Spark colorway, with the bright green sole from that pair ending up on the Royals to give both pairs a Dallas Mavericks sorta feel. You’ll notice that beyond just the sole trading, Jason also went the extra mile on these by switching the Swooshes as well, a move that helped bring in some matching accent colors as compliments to the new soles. Our readers have been keeping Jason busy with custom requests, but if you’ve got a concept for a similar switcharoo, you can contact him through Packer Shoes and maybe he can bring your vision to life. For now though, check out a bunch more pics after the jump.

Nike Air Force 1 GS White / Pink / Sunbeam Detailed Images

For those of you who can fit into smaller shoes, or perhaps have children you like to dress in nice kicks, Nike always has GS sizes in some nice colourways. While these new kids colourway of the Nike Air Force One can pass as a Valentine’s Day Nike variety, the use of pink and shimmering red might be just a coincidence. These feature a clear red sole, a light pink upper with a sparkling patent swoosh, a patent candy red rear panel, and three sets of laces; white, pink, and rainbow, fit for a candy store. This sweet pair can be purchased from ID4shoes on eBay.

Nike Terminator High Premium TZ Ueno vs. Harajuku Rivals Pack New Images

Remember Arnold’s famous “I’ll Be Back” in T2? Well, the Terminator, albeit Nike’s version, is back. Big time. We’re amidst a number of some serious Terminator releases, and the Japanese rendition of the Nike Rivalry Pack is a heavy hitter, as the Ueno vs. Harajuku rivalry spawns two Nike Terminators that we touched up on just a few days prior. Ueno’s Terminator is actually military inspired, as the materials used  hint at a body armor and the rear ankle and inner liner are reminiscent of ribbon bars worn by some of the outstanding members of the U.S. Air Force. Both pairs will drop in-store on December 23rd, while us statesiders can cross our fingers in hope of a pair popping up on eBay. via SM.

Nike Zoom Kobe V Extensive Detailed Look + Tech Breakdown

Earlier this week, we brought you some live coverage of the Nike Zoom Kobe V unveiling in Los Angeles, and now we take a more in-depth look at the slick new model and the next-level technology that makes it one of the more impressive Nike basketball designs ever created. The Zoom Kobe V is the true embodiment of the phrase “less is more.” Weighing in at an astonishing 10.6 ounces, the Kobe V is Nike’s lightest basketball shoe ever without any of its structural integrity being compromised. In fact, thanks to Nike innovations like Flywire and heat-bonded overlays, the shoe is not only lighter than anything on the market, but it also happens to be more durable and responsive than many of the bulkier models that would appear to have the edge in that department.

As you can see, the Kobe V sports an even lower cut than the Zoom Kobe IV, a concept that was once pretty taboo in the realm of performance basketball models. It seems that the boundaries were broken thanks to some inspiration from an unlikely, but logical place. Having spent some years living in Europe, Kobe’s love of soccer sparked the notion that if all these soccer players can go full speed, making sharp cuts in a low cut shoe, there should be no reason that a basketball model can’t do the same. As a result, the Zoom Kobe V silhouette was trimmed down quite a bit, but plenty of research and development has been explored as to how to reinforce key sections of the shoe to ensure maximum support in all the right places.

In addition to the cutting edge upper materials, the Kobe V also compensates for its low cut with an extremely sturdy and responsive foundation. A sculpted heel counter enhances “lockdown” capabilities, keeping your foot from sliding around when stopping and changing directions. Another key feature is the enhanced outrigger that juts out from side of the outsole to provide improved stability on the court, and of course there’s a nice dose of Zoom Air in the heel and forefoot for cushioning. Keep reading for some extra-crisp product shots and a technical breakdown of the shoe’s design components. If you’re still hungry for more after that, stay tuned for some videos featuring Kobe and designer Eric Avar discussing the inspiration and design process behind the Zoom Kobe V. And don’t forget to watch out for the first inline colorway hitting U.S. retailers on January 16th.

Nike Zoom Hustle Supreme Tony Parker Black Metallic

Playing professional basketball for a living, three NBA championships under your belt, and having hottie Eva Longoria as your wife. What more could Tony Parker want? How ’bout a bad ass Nike basketball shoe? Nike spits out a new Zoom Hustle Supreme in a classic San Antonio Spurs colorway – black and silver and white. The medial paneling doesn’t seem to be 3M reflective, but it sure does pop. Add the black contouring the white swoosh, and those trek laces, and these things are slick. Available now at RMKstore

DJ Clark Kent x Nike Air Force 1 High Supreme East Releasing Tomorrow

In addition to being the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday is also a safe bet for some special sneaker releases as well. DJ Clark Kent, who brought us his special “Black Friday” Air Force 1’s last year, is back with another offering for this year’s shopfest kickoff. As you are probably well aware by now, Clark created several new styles for Nike’s East vs. West series, and while we’ve already seen the Gucci Dunk High and earth-tone Air Force 1 Low pop up in stores, a lot of people were wondering when his mysterious Air Force 1 High would hit the shelves. Appropriately enough, the DJCK Air Force 1 High Supreme will be dropping tomorrow, dipped in an unmistakably New York color scheme.

West coast rival Eddie Cruz used the L.A. sports teams for his color inspiration, and here we see Clark battling back with a fresh Royal/Orange/Black color combo reminiscent of the Knicks and Mets. In addition to the slick colorway and premium materials, the shoe also comes with some special goodies, a Nike NYC logo patch and a special box that sports the old-school orange/grey striped Nike look that many of us remember quite fondly. If you’re feeling these, look for them at select Nike retailers tomorrow November 25th, and if you’re in the NYC area tomorrow night, there will be a special in-store release event at 21 Mercer where none other than DJCK himself will be providing the sounds.

Nike SB Dunk High Premium RESN aka Gucci Available

The quote-unquote Gucci look has been one of the most popular colourways for this season.  This is the second Nike Dunk High Premium to feature the combination of forest green, deep red and black.  DJ Clark Kent’s version repped the East coast for the Rivalry Pack but this joint is a little more specific.  Released by Nike SB, these were originally designed by Girl Skateboards in 2005 to drop alongside the Diamond Supply ‘Tiffany’ Nike SB Dunk Low.

Apparently Crailtap wasn’t happy that Girl would give such a dope design to Nike, given their own Lakai footwear label.  They axed the project, but now we’re getting an updated version for late 2009.  These come with ‘RESN’ on the tongue tag, a shout to Girl’s Sam Smyth, who used to spray that tag for the IBC crew all over the Bay Area.  You can grab yours in advance of the US release from Korean e-tailer Kasina.

Nike Dunk Low SB Premium Green Spark Hoop Orange

This Nike Dunk SB Low features a black suede and green leather upper, orange leather swoosh, purple laces and contrast stitching. The outsole is bright yellow with contrast stitching on the midsole and of course, a pair of extra yellow laces. These particular Dunk Low SB’s can be matched with a Nike SB Eugene backpack that can be purchased seperately, which is one of Nike SB’s more popular accessories. This backpack is %100 nylon and features plenty of storage space and compartments for all your skate equipment, as well as a sleeve for a laptop. Nike may be starting a new trend with their Dunks and matching bags. Just recently we saw the Mr. Pacman Dunk SB High and SB Blazer QS-Blood Splatter, both of which dropped alongside matching Nike SB backpacks. via n-sb.org

Nike Dunk High Premium Black White Wool

Spark Pack redux?  Not quite.  The Nike Dunk High Premium is back and it definitely resembles the aforementioned woolen joints from last winter.  These go with a visibly smooth black leather for most of the upper, save the woolen ankle collar that hearkens back to the Spark joints and should keep people in the ‘(Athletics) North’ warm.  These don’t have the Spark Pack’s 0.44 Sticky Rubber sole, but they do look perfect for fall, so grab yours today from Purchaze.

Nike SB Dunk High Gucci Denim Sample

Nike is giving Gucci a little boost this season in the form of those sneakerheads who just have to match.  Not one, but two Nike Dunk Highs with a Gucci-flavored design will hit shelves before ‘09 runs dry.  The one pictured above is Nike SB’s answer to the Nike Sportswear division’s East vs. West Rivals Pack entrant.  Instead of ostrich leather and a gum sole, these go with frayed denim and a red bottom.  This update of the insanely rare 2005 version will hit retailers this holiday season and you can cop a sample in Us mens size 9 from dunkaholikz on eBay.

Nike SB Dunk Low Premium + Blazer High Premium October 2009

By now, you have probably already seen some of Nike SB’s October 2009 goodies like the J-Pack edition of the Dunk Mid and the Midnight Fog colorway of the P-Rod III. Now we bring you a look at two more eye-catching models that are beginning to hit select Nike SB retailers. In time for Halloween, a new Dunk Low Premium has come along with a Green Spark/Hoop Orange color scheme that also sports touches of Black, Purple and Yellow, giving the shoe a look slightly reminiscent of the classic Day of the Dead Dunk. The other new model is a Blazer High Premium that also packs a bold punch, flaunting a suede Aqua Marine upper with a clean White midsole and Electrolime accents. If you’re feeling these new additions to the Nike SB family, you can already find them at select retailers such as Flatspot.

Nike Dunk High Nylon Black Green Spark Zitron

The Nylon look was made famous by the Nike Vandal, but the Dunk High might make it look even better. We have already seen a fair share of Nylon Dunk High models and now a new colorway is starting to hit retailers. Back in July, we gave you a sneak peek at this version and now we get a nice detailed look. The shoe flaunts a Black nylon upper with a Green Spark tongue label, lining and Swoosh and a bright set of Zitron laces. If you’re feeling the color scheme and the stylish nylon material, you can find them now at ShuhYou.

Nike East Vs. West Rivals Pack

We’ve been keeping you up to date for a while now on Nike’s upcoming East vs. West Rivals pack and now we get a look at some more preview images from the collection. As you know, several notable sneakerheads will be teaming up with Nike to rep for their respective coasts with DJ Clark Kent and Eddie Cruz leading the charge for the East and West. By now, you’ve probably already seen DJ Clark Kent’s Gucci-inspired Dunk High Supreme Spark, but the images of two Air Force 1’s designed by Eddie Cruz for the Rivals pack have also just popped up. Both pairs use synthetic snakeskin uppers, one on a purple/yellow/red Air Force 1 Low and the other on a navy/black/red High model.

In addition, we also get our first peek at a new Clark Kent-designed Air Force 1 Low that sports a premium look thanks to sections of ostrich skin and patent leather. We have also just learned that DJ Premier and DJ AM have also contributed to the upcoming pack with a East Air Force 1 by Premier and a West Dunk by AM. Stay tuned for further info on this eagerly anticipated pack and check out interviews with DJ Clark Kent and DJ Premier after the jump. Via Warped/Overdope.
