SneakersNStuff kicked off spring with a tribute to Sweden’s first blooming flower in March’s Reebok Question Mid ’Crocus’. SNS is doing a dozen RBK collabs for 2013 (one for each month) and though nothing has been officially announced, judging by the hangtags, it looks like they’re hitting up the original Allen Iversons for one more buttery suede banger. Blocked identically to the Crocuses, this Question shown off by Bow Wow on BET is close to another famous Philadelphia sports aesthetic in the 1970s powder blue/burgundy Phillies. The latest example of an adidas Originals silhouette being ported over for skateboarding purposes is the first where both are arriving at retail around the same time. The adidas adicourt tennis shoe makes its first retro appearance on the Originals side this spring, and for skating, we see longtime Three Stripes rider Mark Gonzales apply an aqua canvas upper to a slightly altered design. This colorway, the canvas build and extremely affordable price point make for a very attractive summer shoe, and you’ll find them available now at adidas Skateboarding retailers.

The ‘Asia City Pack’ Quickstrikes were exclusive to the other side of the world, so when news came and went regarding this quartet of Nike Cortez QSes, it seemed safe to expect a similar fate. Here’s more evidence to support that conclusion, as a Japanese retailer shows off new shots of the ‘Aloha Print’ floral Cortez foursome. These nylon Cortez lowtops add suede trim to balance out the graphic uppers, and they’re slated to release this Saturday, May 18th. Stick with Sneaker News to see if they make it stateside and check out new photos below in the meantime.

This is a great time of year for LeBron James fans. Not only are the Heat owners of a nearly flawless playoff record, but you’ve got colorways coming from the LeBron X in ‘standard’, Elite and lowtop forms running in parallel. Here’s the Nike LeBron X Low in a yellow-dominant makeup that first appeared to be lined in black. It’s actually grey, which along with a lemon-lime fade to green on the tongue tag, gives these a lighter feel for summer. Check them out up close below and stick with Sneaker News for a release date.

Would you want to see zebra on an Air Jordan retro? The most notable and perhaps only time that happened was a custom job that showed up at last year’s Sneaker Free Market event. The Air Jordan 1 we’re examining here was apparently intended for mass production, but for whatever reason, the release was nixed and only this sample pair remains. They were cast in one of the highest contrast colorways possible, blending purple, black and orange and even going two-tone on the laces. The signature element on this Jordan 1 Mid was the tonal stripes on the entire leather upper; not quite zebra, but every bit as bold and eye-catching. Let us know if you would have rocked these, and consider adding this rare Jordan 1 to your sample with a bid from jesusisbackintown on eBay.
