kobe 9 elite brave blue monday night preview 12 Monday Night Preview: Kobe 9 Elite Legacy

For Kobe Bryant, last year’s NBA season was unfortunately derailed by injury, but that didn’t stop his ninth signature Nike shoe from drawing plenty of attention. Aside from debuting Flyknit construction on a Nike Basketball shoe, the Kobe 9 Elite‘s other claim to fame is that it finally deviated from the expected Kobe low-top formula with a super-high cut that instantly distinguished itself from any shoe that Beaverton has ever produced. Now with the 2014-2015 season right around the corner, Kobe will finally be wearing the shoe on court, and Nike will be keeping it front and center at retail thanks to a fresh new batch of colorways headed our way.

jordan future premium dark chocolate 1 Air Jordan Future Premium Dark Chocolate Release Date

The Air Jordan Future Premium “Dark Chocolate” releases on October 18th. There has been much controversy regarding the massive $375 price-tag surrounding this glorified Air Jordan 11, because the amount it costs to attain a pair is roughly the same amount needed to acquire, say, a much more prized Retro release. Would you rather go with something new and rock these premium-level Futures, or take that money to Flight Club or eBay and go after something else? Nevertheless, these Jordan shoes drop this Saturday at spots like Politics so let us know what your opinion is regarding Premium Futures vs. foregone Retro releases.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid – Medium Olive – Sail – Light Brown

October 13th, 2014 by | No comments

nike air force 1 high medium olive sail light brown 01 Nike Air Force 1 Mid Medium Olive Sail Light Brown

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid has remained rather untouched this fall, as the lunarlon donning successors and Sneakerboot renditions have occupied most of the release calendar. And while the Duckboot style remains one that Nike is intent on not bringing back, they are willing to reference the boot aesthetic atop the Air Force 1 Mid in the latest release, featuring a premium Medium Olive leather finish to coincide with a gum bottom. The surprise here is that Nike left the branding in a pristine white to still give it a sneaker aesthetic despite the boot inspired laces and overall tonal fall color palette. Grab a better view of this Nike Air Force 1 Mid after the break and expect this pair to arrive at select shops on November 1st, 2014.

Jordan Spiz’ike GS – Black – Electric Orange – Grey

October 13th, 2014 by | No comments

jordan spizike gs black electric orange wolf grey 01 Jordan Spizike GS Black Electric Orange Grey

Halloween Jordans. The Jordan Spiz’ike has had quite the resurgence in 2014, as the OG pair returned in a fairly limited run to help usher in the Air Jordan 6 “Spiz’ike”, but the shoe has always been a featured player for the kids and ladies alike. This jack-o-lantern motif joins the ranks of rather sweet Jumpman silhouettes for the month of October, but this is by far the most obvious Halloween reference to date. With a near-metallic elephant print that brings back memories of that seen on the Air Jordan 3 “Wolf Grey” pair from earlier this year, contrast white stitching lands on an ominous black upper while an Electric Orange hits the lining and branding throughout. Be on the lookout for this kids exclusive to arrive at stateside retailers on October 22nd and check out more photos courtesy of international shop Titolo after the break.

Bodega x Saucony Shadow 6000 for October 2014

bodega saucony shadow 6000 october 2014 1 Bodega x Saucony Shadow 6000 for October 2014

Sneaker boutiques lucky enough to collaborate with major brands treasure the storytelling and product presentation aspect of the entire process. We’ve seen stores like Extra Butter hold special events in unveiling their shoes, while other spots embrace elaborate seeding efforts in order to get the word out. Boston’s Bodega has relied on the laurels of the design itself, because their last few collaborations, particularly with Saucony, have merely showed up at stores, which sorta takes us back to the old days when sick kicks just appeared on shelves. This latest installment of the Saucony x Bodega series focuses on the Shadow 6000 silhouette, with tonal suede uppers and a red/white floral print lining the insoles (a “Sweater Disc” nickname is floating around as well). We’ll wait for Bodega to come forward with an official backstory of sorts, but in the meantime, keep these on your radar because they’re hitting stores soon.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Wheat” – Arriving at Retailers

nike air foamposite one wheat arriving retailers 01 Nike Air Foamposite One Wheat Arriving at Retailers

This past weekend it was all about the Elephant Print Foamposites. The oddity that was the Air Jordan 3 referencing Nike Air Foamposite Pro complete with a Hyper Pink outsole definitely turned as many heads as it left scratched due to the surprising nature of the release, but this winterized pair set to release this Saturday, October 18th makes a little more sense in the shoe’s lineage. If you can remember the Foam Dome boots that utilized the aesthetic during the mid to late 2000s, then this Timberland inspired NSW takedown of the silhouette has been a long time coming. With Red Suede mock ups surfacing every other week and the Triple Black pair all but disappeared from shelves, where else does the Nike Air Foamposite One have left to go in terms of treading new territory? As always, get a better glimpse of this weekend release after the break and if you don’t want to wait for this Nike Air Foamposite One “Wheat” to arrive at select shops like UBIQ, you can always try your luck early on eBay.
