John Varvatos x Converse Chuck Taylor Zip Hi

john varvatos converse chuck taylor zip hi01 John Varvatos x Converse Chuck Taylor Zip Hi

There are more sneakers using zippers these days, whether it’s for ease of entry or just to look rugged and cool.  John Varvatos has pushed the look to the point where others adopted it and now he’s back at it again.  These new Converse by John Varvatos CT Zip Hi pairs have more of an aesthetic merit, as the sole purpose of the zippers that wrap black and olive green pairs is to reveal a contrasting inset.  These are about as thrilling as canvas sneakers get (though a red leather pair would be simply phenomenal), so slide through the photos below, then say that these are the one(s) at shops like Feature.

The Jordan Flight Runner isn’t supposed to officially release until May, 2014, but it looks like some European retailers have got the jump on this first ever Jordan Brand running shoe. The good news is that with their arrival overseas we’ve got a bit of a better idea on the price: SNS for example has them marked at $115 USD, a price that we’re assuming will be a little lower here in the states given how these things usually work. Continue reading to see a group of images on this reflective laden version of the shoes and tell us in the comments if you’re excited about the idea of Air Jordan runners.

Nike Roshe Run Woven 2.0 – Black – Grey

The successor in the fingertrap branch of the Roshe family tree, the Nike WMNS Roshe Run Woven 2.0 debuted back at the start of 2014. It’s been pretty quiet since, but with summer and its beach/pool fun right around the corner, more slip-on Roshes are more than welcome. This one is a pretty conservative design in black and grey over a white sole, and since we’ve only seen solid pairs before this one, it serves as a subtle promise of additional multicolor weaves to come. Because a good number of their kicks are made of literal canvas, plenty of Vans releases over the years have been figurative canvases for a huge number of patterns and prints.  The latest example brings together a couple of timeless style icons, as a blue paisley bandana pattern pops up on the eternally cool Vans Slip-On.  These have a crisp feel in True Blue with white designs and a pristine stripeless waffle sole, so click in to get a better view, then cop yours at shops like Concepts.

jordan v5 grown low gym red 01 570x380 Jordan V.5 Grown Low Gym Red

The Jordan V.5 Grown Low is one of Jordan Brand’s earlier lifestyle sneaker releases, specifically in the sense that it was one of the first casual pairs that didn’t draw directly on elements from the AJ Legacy. This lowtop chukka got a single release last year and has returned this spring, which is interesting timing as JB is set to take their casual sneaker game to new heights with the luxurious Shine. Providing a more affordable answer at the other end of the spectrum is this new ‘Gym Red’ V.5 Grown Low also offering a different take on the AJ1 OG releasing later this season. Click in to get a closer view, then cop yours at shops like Oneness.
